The conditionals are used to speculate on what might happen, what may have happened and what we wish to happen. There exist four different types of conditional sentences in English.

Zero Conditional:

Used for scientific facts or general truths. 

Structure:
           IF + SIMPLE PRESENT + SIMPLE PRESENT


Examples:
           If you heat water to 100 degrees, it boils.
               Si calientas agua a 100 grados, ésta hierve.
          If you drop ice in water, it floats.
               Si tiras hielo al agua, éste flota.
